The Ashley girls

A beautiful day after Halloween. We walked to the park and enjoyed the pleasant weather.

Although Halloween and this day were warm enough, that is SNOW, leftover from a little storm that put a few inches in the mountains and feet in the foothills near Denver. Winter is due in anytime.

Cookin something for their picnic.

Little 'Boo' witch

The Royal King Troy, pushing Lydia in the stroller, Queen Kendal and Jeremiah, as we head out for the goods.

For Halloween this year, Bill was out hunting and gathering on his annual elk camp, which fell on the holiday this year. He was bummed to miss it, but we didn't go out alone. The "Royal" Vaille family came over, and we went trick or treating with princess Alexis, Knight in Shining Armour Jeremiah, and the cutest court jester ever, Miles. Kendal and Troy were, of course, the king and queen. Lydia and I went as witches and Summer was Pochahontas. It was pretty cold, so not a long excursion, but fun had by all.

Fall 2009

Summer "kitty" and Darby "doggie" shivering with their pumpkins.
Lydia had her 1st birthday. Yah! Needless to say, she dug the chocolate cake. Both girls did.

MMMMM....Cake.

Huggin the big ducky at the Annual Rubber Duck Races. You ain't lived til you've seen 10,000 rubber ducks float down a river.

Quickly picking out a pumpkin at the "pumpkin patch". It was fa-reezing! Summer is wearing a kitty cat costume and her paws got pretty cold.

Summertime 2009

This has been a fun summer for the Ashleys. Summer turned 4! We have done alot of projects around our house, so we have been spending lots of time together at home. Both sets of grandparents came out for a visit in August, a great time to visit the Summit. Good Stuff!
Yep, she's wearing dad's boots.

Ashley Family Staycation June 09

We camped for 3 nights at Rampart Resevior, near Colorado Springs. The weather was decent, but kindof cool. The girls were troopers. We drove up Pikes Peak, went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Seven Falls and the Dinosaur Museum. (See below) After departing the camp, we went to Denver. Joe and Lindsay were nice enough to let us invade and take over their home for a couple of days. We ate at Dave and Busters (think Chucky Cheese for adults) and went to the Butterfly Pavillion, where you can walk thru a huge solarium with multitudes of various types of butterflys flying around. One even landed on Summers head. Not bad for a family staycation.
