Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

At the zoo, we were able to mingle with giraffe's up close and personal. We saw some cool animals, walked with walaby's and Summer got a ride on a pony names Sunny.

These giraffe's sure dig crackers.

Staycation cont..........Seven Falls

Hard to see, but this waterfall cascades down 7 "steps" on the mountain side. For scale, see the little people at the top and bottom.

The bottom of the falls. We elected not to climb the over 180 steps to the top, luckily they also had a elevator.

Denver Zoo

We went with Nikki and Darby to the zoo. We all had fun, and it was sooo nice in Denver..75 degrees. They got 6++ inches of snow a few days later. The animals were out and about enjoying the weather too. The elephants there are soo cool. They even do photo opps. The giraffes were also cool and we saw the new baby. Big baby. My fave was the tiger, and summer's fave was the slushie and the merry go round.

March 09

Gramma and Grampa Ashley came to visit this month, and we had a great time with them. We were able to do some skiing and beaching at the basin.

Lydia and Summer are enjoying each other more and more as Lydia continues to get bigger. They are both very funny kids.

Spring is technically here, but so far, it has just snowed alot. In like a lamb, out like a lion. Bring on the summer!

The Winter Warm and Fuzzies

It’s almost March, the ski season is half over, and we are hoping Spring brings it! The snow I mean. It's usually piled 3 feet high (+/-) in our flower bed by now. We have had enough warm and sunny days that my daffodils are confused and have started to sprout. It does make good 'beachin' days at the Basin. We are doing well, and trying to ride out the recession like everyone else. We feel fortunate to still have jobs, for now, and keep praying for our friends and fam too. Summit life is grand, and we try to ski or snowmobile when possible, although, it is not always together. We can’t leave the kids with Tiki so....The girls are good, healthy overall, very happy and too funny. Summer is super stoked that all of her grandparents will be visiting during the "Spring".
